— About
Hi, I'm Lauren Dowley, and my photography story is all about heartfelt moments. It all began with my dad taking pictures of me as a child, which we proudly displayed around our home. While I started in a different field, studying forensics at university, I soon realized that my true passion was photography.
In 2017, while studying, I began as a nightclub photographer in Winchester, and my love for photography grew stronger with every event. What I adore most about photography is capturing moments that make people smile and hold onto memories for years.
One special moment really hit home for me. I recently took a candid photo at a pre-wedding event, and it turned out to be the client's favorite. They told me that their grandmother, who had been ill, passed away shortly after. That picture meant the world to them, and it reminded me why I love what I do.
Photography, for me, is about creating meaningful memories that touch people's hearts. Each photo is a chance to make a lasting impact, and I'm committed to turning my passion into a lifelong career. I want to keep giving people cherished memories that will stay with them forever.
One of the proudest moments in my career was having the privilege to photograph Eddie Redmayne and Emilia Fox at the Chelsea Christmas Carols show for The Institute of Cancer Research last year. It was a testament to the diverse range of opportunities I've been fortunate to explore. Whether I'm documenting the raw emotion of an event, crafting a brand's visual identity in commercial photography, or capturing the essence of esteemed personalities, every project is a chance to make a significant impact.
Thank you for being part of my photography journey.
